Thanks for your help everyone. Looks like it may have had a bad connection to the main unit. My husband pulled it out and put it back in, had to press it in really hard and now it all works.

The RS 120 Wireless Headphones system is made up of two main components - the transmitter (TR 120) and the headphones (HDR 120). Headphones can be purchased individually but transmitters are not available individually.

So that may have been the problem!!!! Or there was a gremlin around giving me the irrates.

The lights on the charger stand were on though.I tried buying new rechargable AAA batteries and they were NIMH (nickel metalhydride?) and still didnt work. I borrowed a friend's pair of NICM (nickel cadmium?) AAA rechargables though and the problem was solved!So, it would seem the some of the new chargable battery types might not work in older models of this unit (which is also called the RS 130 now in the US and Cdn web sites).Hope this helps!Posted on Mar 18, 2009.
